We are seeking a dedicated, creative and passionate Grooming Salon Assistant / Dog Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and grooming services to our furry clients. Your love for animals and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be essentials to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for pets and their owners.

Ideal for students studying Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or related fields, or anyone interested in starting a grooming career

Job Type: Part-time (max. of 15 hours per week) must have availability to work during weekends and holidays

• Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ needs, answering phone calls and scheduling grooming appointments

• Manage our social media accounts and website — posting stories, photos, and videos

• Assist groomer with bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of various breeds and sizes.

• Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area, including washing tools and equipment.

• Responsible for closing shifts, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing for the next day

• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and pets

• Handle dogs safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during grooming sessions,

• Monitor the health and behavior of animals in your care, reporting any concerns to the groomer or management.

• Assist with animal restraint during grooming procedures when necessary.

• Help maintain inventory of grooming supplies and equipment.

• Other responsibilities as required

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.

• No previous grooming/bathing experience required, but previous experience in dog handling or dog grooming techniques is preferred. we’ll train the right person!

• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to follow safety procedures

• Creative, patient, and composed when working with a variety of dogs

• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs)

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays

• Social media experience is a plus

• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.

• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.

• Willingness to work in a smoke-, drug-, and alcohol-free environment
